A reading tower complements an existing natural pool nourished from an old spring creating a simple shelter with a view towards the water. On the upper level of the tower a small space as a retreat for reading opens up with a view overlooking the nearby valley. Except for a small kitchenette there are no amenities, since everything else can be found in the nearby main building of the estate. The connecting terrace made from hammered stone slabs offers a shady spot with a bench for hot summer days.

The position and the basic form are a new interpretation of the bell tower that once stood in the historic building ensemble.
